Spring has sprung in St. Louis… and that means conditions are perfect for aerial photography!
May and June are some of the best months to shoot aerial photos in the St. Louis metro area. Grass has sprung back from its winter dormancy and is back looking a gorgeous emerald green. Trees, too, are fully leafed-out looking healthy and vibrant from above. But perhaps best of all are the flowers. Seasonal garden plantings are starting to blossom, and aerial photos turn out great when colorful flower beds are in bloom.
Late Spring and early Summer also offer ideal weather for helicopter photo flights. Unlike the hot, muggy weather of later Summer months, right now the air is clear and relatively haze-free. Plus the (frequent!) rains we’ve been having lately help keep down dust, pollen and other airborne debris. Crisp springtime air allows our professional photographers to shoot clear aerial pictures without distortion. And the results are phenomenal!
Freshly-mown lawns offer another tremendous sight from the air. The pleasant stripes left behind by lawn mowers remain distinctly visible from overhead, and the patterns add great appeal to aerial photos:
